By using Micro Tool Yard (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. These terms are written in plain language on purpose — seeAbout and the Privacy Policy for more context on how the tools actually work.

What the Site is

The Site provides free, client-side tools for working with files (PDFs, images), text, JSON, and everyday calculations. "Client-side" means each tool runs in your own browser — the Site does not receive, store, or process the files or text you use with a tool, with the single documented exception of the currency-rate lookup described in the Privacy Policy.

No warranty on tool output

The tools are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. In practical terms:

• Calculators (loan/mortgage, percentage, unit conversion, currency, BMI, and others) are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not financial, medical, legal, or tax advice, and results should not be relied upon for decisions with real financial, medical, or legal consequences without independent verification.
• File-conversion tools (PDF, image, Word/PDF conversion) make a best effort at accurate, lossless conversion where technically possible, and clearly document known fidelity limits on each tool's own page (for example, PDF-to-Word and Word-to-PDF explicitly do not guarantee complex layout, table, or multi-column fidelity). You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it for any important purpose.
• Currency conversion rates are sourced from a third-party public API on a best-effort basis and may be delayed, cached, or occasionally unavailable; they are not suitable for time-sensitive financial transactions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to process content you don't have the legal right to possess or modify.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site's infrastructure (for example, by attempting to bypass client-side rate limits, probing for vulnerabilities without authorization, or automating requests in a way that degrades service for other users).
• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law, including copyright, export control, or data protection law in your jurisdiction.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this Site is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site or its tools, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because processing happens entirely on your own device, you retain full control over your files and their backup at all times; the Site is not a substitute for maintaining your own backups of important files before modifying them with any tool.

Third-party content and ads

The Site may display advertising served by third parties (such as Google AdSense). We do not control and are not responsible for the content of third-party ads, or for the content or practices of any third-party site you may navigate to from an ad or outbound link.

Changes to the Site or these terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature of the Site at any time, and may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
